The Access Collaboration Ltd is a Canterbury-based access consultancy that offers informed advice designed to assist service-providers, architects and planners to reach the widest possible audience or customer base and to encourage and maximise participation of disabled people in all areas of activity including education, leisure and sport.
The Access Collaboration Ltd is committed to working toward social inclusion and equal opportunities but more than that we believe that making services warm, welcoming and more user-friendly will enable people to take part, enjoy and contribute freely at all levels of daily life.
We recognise the importance of maintaining cultural identity and aim at enhancing people's ability to explore and participate in the world around them. This philosophy is reflected in our Access Audits and appraisals which assess not only the buildings or open spaces themselves but also the activity that takes place within them.
A core feature of our working method is our need to hear and take note of the experience of both current and potential users of the environment, especially disabled people. We are able to achieve our unique approach through extensive training and experience as Occupational Therapists and Access Consultants.
