Established in 1995 The Access Collaboration Ltd is a company based in the South East of England, dedicated to providing a range of cost effective services designed to assist service-providers, architects and planners to reach the widest possible audience and customer base. We believe that making services warm, welcoming and more user-friendly will enable disabled people to take part, enjoy and contribute freely at all levels of daily life.
We believe that access is far more than just bricks and mortar; it's about empowering people, organisations and society. We feel it is important to put people at the heart of inclusive design so that environments and services are open to all.
What we can offer
- Advice and recommendations designed to suit the widest range of people disabled by the environment and certain policies and practices.
- Advice based on years of experience working with people who have many different difficulties negotiating effective access to services, facilities, leisure activities, employment and education.
- Experienced Access Consultants, Occupational Therapists and other specialists, many of whom have direct experience of disability.
- Expert advice on how effective design can accommodate the requirements of disabled people who experience a significant disadvantage in the built and social environment. This can include people with learning difficulties, visual and hearing impairments and people with mental health issues.
- Our memberships include the Access Association, the Centre for Accessible Environments, RADAR, BSI, MIND, RETHINK, SANE, Sign Design Society, Association of Historic Interpreters, Museums Libraries and Archive Association, RNID and RNIB.
