Access Audits and Surveys

An access audit is the pre-requisite for any change and development of services with a view to making them more inclusive. Recommendations will be made in the form of a report and spreadsheet that can then be used to inform the service provider of short term solutions and/or a 3-5 year action plan.

An access audit will provide the following:

  • A high quality, comprehensive report detailing all audit recommendations.
  • The baseline changes required to make a property or service accessible.
  • A comprehensive list of solutions, ranked in order of priority, consistent with DDA: 1995 and 2005 and meets the requirements of Building Regulations: 2000, AD Part M: 2004, BS8300:2001 and all other standards used for benchmarking.
  • Cost effective quick win solutions that service managers can choose to implement quickly.
  • A spreadsheet detailing all recommendations for use by parties who implement any physical changes to an environment or service.
  • A CD Rom containing all reports and spreadsheets

Surveys

Surveys and reviews are designed to ensure that the needs of the widest possible customer base are met.

Surveys are tailored to meet the specific needs of the client.  They can include cross-site signage and way-finding surveys, reception area surveys or a review of promotional material and printed matter. We also provide a ‘walk and talk' review service where DDA and Access barriers are discussed and solutions offered for small businesses.
